Just a quick reminder that our 1-fur-1 toy sale is still going on! Until August 31st, you can purchase our official 1-fur-1 toy for only $3.99 [that price includes tax and shipping]! It's a great way to get your pooch a new toy and help out a needy dog at the same time. For each toy purchased, we donate one to a dog in a shelter or low-income neighborhood. Ordering information is in the sidebar on the top right-hand side of this site. On September 1st, the price will go up to it's regular price of $4.99, so order now!

August Toy Drive Biggest EVER!

This weekend I picked up the August toy drive bins from Camp 4 Paws. The bin was completely full! I believe it was our biggest in-store toy drive ever [I think only our nationwide mail-in toy drive benefitting Hatian animals raised more toys].  I'm always amazed at the quality of dog toys that people donate too. Don't get me wrong, a dog doesn't care if a toy costs $1 or $10 and we really appreciate every donation- no matter how big or small. I'm just always amazed at the number of people who donate the $10 toys! We are so lucky to be surrounded by such generous people who are always willing to donate what they can. Much love to all of you who help us do what we do!

First Ever Ad Space!

Teeny's Friends has purchased our first ever ad space! Our ad will be running in The Anipal Times, which is the online newsletter that Teeny also does book reviews for.

To the left is a preview of the ad! I've never created an ad from scratch before, but I made this one using Microsoft Paint and the website www.photobucket.com.

Teeny's Friends News Round-Up

As you all know, it's been a little over a year since I started Teeny's Friends and I'm happier than a bunny in a bubble bath about the pawgress we've made. [Yes, I just made up that expression but I've been dying to use the "bunny in a bubble bath" photo and that gave me the perfect excuse.] I wanted to take a minute to share with you guys, who make it all possible, what we've been up to as well as what's in the pipeline for us.

   BlogPaws West - I will be attending BlogPaws West in Denver, Colorado from September 10th - 12th. BlogPaws is a pet blogger conference and networking event. I will be attending workshops, listening to speakers, and learning things like how to be a better pet blogger, increase site traffic, raise more money on behalf of the organization, etc. I'm so excited to meet in person all of the wonderful people I've been fortunate enough to get to know online over the past year.

   August toy drive - Our August toy drive at Camp 4 Paws [a million thanks to the owner, Casey Davenport] is going on NOW! I have not received any beneficiary information from them as of yet, but I will update with that information as soon as I receive it. Click here for the location of Camp 4 Paws. The toy drive will end on Saturday, August 21st.

   September toy drive - Our September toy drive has been scheduled and will be held at Austin Canine Central. More information on this to come...

   1-Fur-1 toy - After a couple of hot months in June & July, 1-fur-1 toy sales have dropped off. I'm currently looking into marketing and advertising options, as we want to help as many needy dogs as possible and the 1-fur-1 toy is one of the main ways we are able to do that! The toy is still on sale for $3.99 until the end of August, to help fund our trip to Denver for BlogPaws!

   Latest Anipal Times book review - "Teeny" is still reviewing books for the online animal newsletter, The Anipal Times. His latest review is of the Dean Koontz fictional thriller The Darkest Evening of the Year. Click here to read his review!

Whew! Busy, busy. I'm exhausted just reading it all! I think Teeny's little sister Tootsie has the right idea and it may be NAP TIME!

August's Tropical Paradise #PawPawty For Charity

This weekend I will be DJing at the Tropical Paradise #PawPawty! My slot is from 3-4pm CST on Saturday, August 7th [the same day that our August toy drive at Camp 4 Paws begins].
