April's Checkfest #PawPawty For Charity

This weekend will mark our 3rd PawPawty DJ gig. We have come to look forward to these monthly events so much! All the anipals on Twitter dress up in costumes and listen to music, dance, eat, drink, and mingle... all virtually, of course! This month's theme is "Chickfest" so I am expecting to see lots of boy dogs/cats dressed up in drag! All for a good cause, of course - the money raised benefits the Forever Home Feline Ranch in Springfield, Illinois. Our DJ set is from 3-4 PM (CST) on Saturday the 24th. My New House: By Teeny

Hi everyone! Teeny here. You may have noticed that I have been MIA for a few days. My Mom usually helps out and acts out as my scribe. But she has been furry busy all week long because she and my Dad have been unpacking boxes in OUR NEW HOUSE! Dats right! A new house, with lots of exciting smells and territory to mark - but not inside, my Mom says, or else I'll be in big trouble! :)

Anywho, since my Mom can't seem to find time to act as my scribe this week (SIGH!) I guess I'll just have to do it myself. I just wanted to take a minute to assure you all that we are still here, doing what we do, and that we miss all our anipals A LOT! And also that we can't wait for life to return to normal. But until then, we have lots of exploring to do! Here is a picture of my little sister and I enjoying our new backyard! I hope you all have a furry good weekend and I pwomise that come Monday morning, it'll be back to business as usual! XoXo!

Blog Paws Video By Frugal Dougal

For those of you who don't know, Blog Paws is basically a conference for the online pet community. It's a chance to get together, meet your pet blogger/Twitter/etc. buddies, learn, and have fun. Frugal Dougal is the top dog, no pun intended, of the online pet community. Dougal is the the CDO (chief dog officer) of paw pawty events, which are monthy virtual parties help to raise money and awareness for various animal related causes. At Blog Paws, Frugal Dougal presented this video. Teeny's Friends, who has a DJ slot at each paw pawty, makes a cameo at 4:14. Check it out, and have the tissues handy! Canine Hilton Donates 1 Toy For Each New Twitter Follow

The Canine Hilton, (the same Canine Hilton that is hosting the upcoming Rescue Round-Up, in which we will be participating) posh boarding kennel in Austin, Tx, has generously agreed to donate one toy to our April toy drive for each NEW follow they get on Twitter in between now and April 15th!

Canine Hilton Rescue Roundup 2010

We are so excited to announce that we have been asked to participate in the Canine Hilton Rescue Roundup 2010!
The Rescue Roundup, hosted by the Canine Hilton, is a day of fun-filled friendly competition between local Austin pet organizations to see who can raise the most donations! The winner will get to take home a gift basket of goods donated by the event sponsors.

Riley the Smiling Dog

Have you guys seen this yet? Meet Riley, a 1-yr old poodle who has become an internet sensation after being captured "smiling" in photos taken of him at his 1st birthday party. To me, Teeny always looks hot & tired at his own birthday parties ~ I know he has fun, but they are held in August... usually outdoors because of the doggy guests... we live in Texas... 105+ weather... you do the math! Side note: this year I think we'll be throwing Teeny's 6th birthday party & dog doy drive sometime in the fall when temps begin to cool down a bit. Anywho, I'd love to have a pic of Teeny smiling this way! Photos like this help remind us how special and individual our pets are, and that they are more than pets ~ although most people I know don't need reminding of that! :)
