About Teeny's Friends

We provide toys for needy dogs! At Teeny's Friends our goal is to make sure that no dog ever has to go without the simple pleasure of chasing a ball or snuggling a plushie. Our mission was inspired by Teeny, my own rescue dog & our mascot. We raise toys through monthly toy drives & the sale of our One For One toy (when you buy one, we donate one). The toys we raise are then donated to rescue groups, animal shelters, and families in low income neighborhoods. Read on to learn how you can help us help needy dogs!

Purchase Your Own Official Teeny's Friends One-For-One Toy!

Each is only $4.99 and when you buy one, we donate one to a needy dog! Buy your own via PayPal in the right-hand column below. Buy for yourself, as a gift, or as a donation for your favorite animal organization!

Toys For Joseph

Last week, my Twitter friend Natalie (a champion for dog's rights if there ever was one!) heard about a dog named Joseph. He had been neglected, malnourished, and abandoned. Police found him tied up on a beach in Far Rockaway (I'm not sure where this is, but my guess is somewhere in New England). Sweet Joseph was taken in by the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals and here is a photo of him at that time.

Doesn't that just break your heart? The online animal community rallied, and by the time I heard about him, he was in good hands with the Mayor's Alliance and his ailments were being treated. There was nothing left for me to do but send him a toy! So send him a toy I did, and corresponded a bit with one of his caregivers, Melissa (sweetest lady ever, by the way!). Today I received a wonderful surprise in my inbox - Melissa had taken some pictures of a MUCH healthier looking Joseph (or Joey, as he is now being referred to - TOO CUTE!) playing with the toy I sent him. It's not much, and I wish that I could have contributed more, but if the least I can do is provide a needy dog like Joey with a bit of fun then I am happy and will be able to sleep at night. I have posted the new pictures of Joey with his toy below. Oh, and Melissa- if you are reading this, THANK YOU for everything that you do. I imagine you don't hear that often enough but there are those of us out there who are amazed and humbled and inspired by people like you and more appreciative than you will ever know.
