August Toy Drive @ Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital
August's toy drive begins this Saturday at the Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital! Our bins will be there from August 1st - August 15th. All toys donated will go to rescue groups of the host's choice! Want instant karma? Stop by and help us help needy dogs by dropping off a toy!

A Big Woofy Woo To Bella!
A big thank you is going out on this beautiful day to Miss Bella, the adorable pup on the left, belonging to Dani at Positively Present. Miss Bella so graciously donated a big box of her old toys to us, shipping the box to us early this week. We received them and as previously mentioned, they will be benefitting the needy pups at the Austin Humane Society. Below are some pictures of the box, the toys, a cute card Dani & Bella sent to Teeny & I, and our poochies peeking inside the box at all the toys!

August Toy Drive Plans
July's toy drive held at Emancipet is in the can! The poochies and kitties at the Austin Humane Society are going to be very happy to receive some fun new toys to play with! Also a big thanks to friend at Positively Present who mailed in toys, which will be included in July's donations (if you have a few spare minutes, check out the Positively Present site; it is WELL worth a visit; I am addicted!)
We are already rocking & rolling on August's toy drive. It will be hosted by the great folks at the Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital. They already work with several rescue programs, and we will split the donations evenly amongst those organizations. I will announce the rescue program names and the exact dates of the drive soon!

Teeny's 5th Birthday Party & Toy Drive
Plans have been finalized for Teeny's 5th Birthday Party & Dog Toy Drive!
It will be held on Sunday, August 9th at Freddie's Place (www.freddiesplaceaustin.com) at 4:00 PM. We had such a great crowd and such a good time last year. The picture on the left is of Todd (my husband) myself and Marteeny at last year's party. We were able to make a large donation and help so many needy dogs thanks to our awesome guests. Hopefully this year's celebration will be just as successful!

Article About Teeny's Friends
Teeny's Friends is starting to get attention!
Last week I recommended a great site to you guys; I hope you had a chance to check it out because it is well worth the time.
This week Nate, who runs the site, has written an article about Teeny's Friends! It's a great read (although I might be a little biased) so check it out here. We don't pay for advertising, so we rely on word of mouth. A well-written and interesting article like this by some as awesome as Nate is worth it's weight in gold for a small organization like us. Social Networking For A Good Cause
I have a great new site that I wanted to recommend to everyone: http://www.itstartswith.us/blog/. Nate, who runs the site, is also on twitter at www.twitter.com/itstartswithus. He single handily runs the blog and is dedicated to making a difference in the world. I would do his mission a dis-service by trying to explain it, so here it is in his own words:
"The goal of ItStartsWith.Us is to build a global community of individuals focused on making a positive impact in the lives of the people around them.
Each and every one of us has the ability to change the world by touching lives in this way. And when we hear more about the positive things others are doing, we become more aware of the opportunities we have to make a difference for the people around us.
Right now I’m starting small with a simple blog, broadcasting stories about people making a positive impact, and hopefully inspiring others along the way. I have some big ideas of where this site can go in the near future, once the community has a chance to build up.
