The Pet Postcard Project (started by writer Nikki Moustaki) is an effort to raise awareness and help feed shelter dogs. For each postcard sent via US Mail, one pound of dog food will be provided to animal shelters. The good people at River Dog Prints want to help, so they are asking pet owners to send over their photos and stories about their pets. They will take this information and create a postcard for each day of the month of September. Their goal is to give shelter animals 30 more pounds of food by month’s end. Please participate in this and support their worthy cause if you have a spare moment; emails can be sent to scout@riverdogprints.com. They are also on Twitter at @ScouttheDog and @RiverDogPrints.
